OETTINGS CELEBRATE 55 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
They were married on Sunday, June 28, 1953. The ceremony was held in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and directly after the lovebirds honeymooned at Lake Michigan.
Lois M. graduated from Corydon High School and was employed with the General Electric Co. for 35 years.
Walter C. enlisted in the United States Army after high school, where he proudly served his country for 7 years. After the military he spent the next 33 years working at the International Harvester Co.
The couple was set up on a blind date by a friend and have not spent a moment apart since.
They have two children, Michael Oetting of Ossian and Alan E. Oetting of Fort Wayne. There are four grandchildren.
