USF STUDENTS EXCEL IN CLASS AND ATHLETICS ACHIEVE 3.04 GPA
Once again, University of Saint Francis Student-Athletes excelled academically as well as athletically during the recently completed Spring Semester.
In addition to setting a team record for victories in baseball, as well as sending several track performers to the NAIA Nationals, USF Varsity Student-Athletes recorded a combined Grade Point Average of 3.04 (on a 4.0 scale). The Men’s Golf Team took the honors for the best GPA for the Men, while Women’s Soccer and Tennis finished in a statistical dead heat for the Women’s High GPA honors.
“Similar to last Fall, two of the three teams which recorded the top GPA’s in our department were all in-season,” said USF Director of Athletics Mark A. Pope. “They made time to hit the books and record remarkable team GPA’s even while competing.”
“I thank our coaches, Faculty and Staff, and, of course, our hard-working Student-Athletes for their academic achievements this year. I’m looking forward to breaking the 3.1 GPA mark next year.”
