Mayor Graham Richard announced recently new leaders in the City’s Public Works and Utilities Divisions. Bob Kennedy will serve as Director of Pubic Works. Len Poehler w
ill serve as Interim Director of City Utilities.
Kennedy has worked for the City for 23 years, the last 5 years as Associate Director of Public Works and City Utilities.
“Bob has been an outstanding leader in our Public Works Division,” said Mayor Richard.
“As Division Director he will be able to continue to effectively lead our employees as they seek to improve services and reduce costs.”
Poehler has served as City Utilities Controller for the past 4 1/2 years. Previously he spent 14 years as an officer at Lincoln National in Fort Wayne. He will continue to serve as City Utilities Controller while filling the Interim Director position.
“I am pleased that Len has agreed to take on these additional responsibilities,” said Mayor Richard. “Len will work to ensure that we have continuity over the next several months with many of our key initiatives in City Utilities.”
Both positions will be Division Head level and report directly to the Mayor. Kennedy & Poehler replace Greg Meszaros, who recently accepted a position in Austin, Texas.
