THAT’S THE WAY I SAW IT

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU RENEW MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS

I have had a subscription to a baseball magazine for many years. The other day I received a renewal notice from two “Publishers Billing Agency’s” with two different addresses and state locations. I mailed both notices to the magazine’s main office asking which I should acknowledge as I thought I still had six months left. I received a postcard form, which stated: “The subscription agency you ordered does not represent Baseball Digest. Please contact your Attorney Generals office regarding the payment that you made. The Agency.”

“We are forwarding your correspondence to the proper department. We are sorry that you were contacted by this agency’s customer service.” Here is a company that lost people’s addresses to another company. They did not tell me which agency was represented by the magazine.

As I said before, be careful when you renew magazine subscriptions especially when you mail them a check.
