ELMHURST PRESENTS TINTYPES
Elmhurst High School is staging the patriotic musical Tintypes. This musical was nominated for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Featured Actress all set in an American society during the age of Ragtime.
Historic personalities include: Teddy Roosevelt, the youngest man ever to be elected President; Emma Goldman, the notorious socialist; Susannah, a domestic worker; Charlie Chapman, a silent movie type; and Anna Held, the beautiful star of the Ziegfeld Follies.
Songs include: Yankee Doodle Boy, Stars and Stripes Forever, America the Beautiful, You’re a Grand Old Flag, A Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight, Smiles, Toyland, 47 songs in all.
Performance dates are Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, April 22 at 2:00 PM. Students $5. Adults $9.
Director is Rosy Ridenour and technical director is Don Goss.
