SEEDS FROM THE SOWER
A young fellow fell in love with a young lady, and he wrote her every day for 365 days. She was united in the holy bonds of matrimony on the 365th day…to the mailman.
As in love, tact is good, but contact is better. Andrew not only told Peter about the Lord Jesus, he “brought him to Jesus.”
There’s no greater mission than that of bringing a soul to the Lord. There’s no greater mistake than that of keeping one from Him. Our Lord’s last act was to win a soul. His last command was to win a soul. So I’m going to do my best to win a soul. How about you?
Mary loved church, but her sister didn’t.
One day Mary said, “Let’s play church.”
“All right,” answered her sister, “but lets play I’m absent.”
Too many do. But the living Bible says, “Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do.”
Going to church does not make you a Christian any more than going to a garage makes you an automobile.
But if you’ll love God’s house and God’s book, you’ll read up, pray up, sing up, and never give up or shut up until the cause of Christ is built up.
Too many church members hear without heeding, read without practicing, and confess without changing.
