ROBERT EUGENE LA VERGNE, 67
ROBERT EUGENE La VERGNE, 67, of South Whitley, died Monday, June 5, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born August 11, 1938, in Fort Wayne, he was a clerk at Kroger Stores, in Fort Wayne for 35 years, retiring in 1999.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara L. La Vergne of South Whitley; sons, Robert Eugene (Lisa) La Vergne Jr. of South Whitley and Steven Douglas (Tina) La Vergne of Churubusco; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral service was Friday at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation was Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
