ON THE BRIGHTER SIDE
On Friday, April 15, 2006, employers of Bunn’s Trucking watched in dismay as they witnessed everything in their repair shop get destroyed. The fire was said to have erupted a little before 2:45 p.m. ruining everything in the repair shop.
There was no specific explanation to what actually started the fire. The repair shop housed two dump trucks, a repair shop, a forklift, and tires.
Luckily no one was harmed and there were numerous things that weren’t destroyed that would’ve been further detrimental to the company such as: recently filled fuel tanks and propane tanks.
Although some call this a catastrophe other see it as a miracle. Particularly Mrs. Kay Bunn (wife of Burt Bunn the owner) of Bunn’s trucking. “It’s just amazing how no one was hurt and how the fire didn’t get to the propane tanks that were located inches away,” says Kay.
There was a lot of gratitude and appreciation towards the firefighters that put out the fire that honestly could’ve been much worst than it was.
On the bright side their company still remains and no one was hurt.
Bunn Trucking was aided by, Romary Associates, East of Chicago Pizza, Leepers Lawn Sservice and several other companies throughout the Waynedale area.
