EVELYN K. BROWN BODEY
EVELYN K. BROWN BODEY, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, March 13, 2006, at St. Joseph Medical Center. Born August 1, 1946, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Alvin S. Brown Sr. and Eva Loretta (Buffington). She was an O.B. Tech at Lutheran Hospital for 27 years, retiring in 1992.
She was a member of Grace St. John’s United Church of Christ and Receptive Home Economic Club.
Surviving are her husband, Wayne Bodey of Fort Wayne; daughter, Kathryn “Katie” Bodey of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Alvin S. Brown Jr. and Jesse L. Brown, both of Fort Wayne and Art Brown of Osceola; 10 nieces and nephews; and nine great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was Friday, March 17, at Grace St. John’s United Church of Christ. Pastor Julia Goodall officiating. Visitation was Thursday, March 16, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, 96-C Lot 3.
