PFC Jason D. Ybarra has graduated from Army Basic Training, Fort Jackson, S. C. on October 21, 2005. This 20-year old 2004 graduate from Wayne High School, was a student in the AFJROTC program under the instruction of Major Ed Bennett and SMSGT Bill Tester. They encouraged, motivated and influenced Jason to be a part of the military.

Jason joined the United States Army on August 11, 2005 and is currently attending AIT as Cargo Specialist in Fort Eustic, Virginia.

Jason’s older brother, Robert influenced him and is a Lance Corporal serving as a Marine in California. He also has an older stepbrother serving in the Marines in Iraq.

PFC Ybarra is a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church. He is the stepson of Mike Fry and son of Judy K. Fry of Yoder and Daniel C. Ybarra Sr. of Chicago, Illinois.
