WAYNEDALE’S MASONIC LODGE PROVIDES CHILD ID PROGRAM IN CONJUNCTION WITH COMMUNITY PICNIC – SATURDAY, AUGUST 27
The Waynedale Masonic Lodge will be having a public Open House in conjunction with the Waynedale Community Picnic to be held on August 27 at Waynedale Park.
In addition, the Lodge will be conducting their “Indiana Child Identification Program” (INCHIP). The INCHIP program is conducted by the Masons, free of charge, for all interested families. This program consists of an interview intended to demonstrate mannerisms and speech and is recorded on DVD. Fingerprints are taken (without ink) and the parents are given 3 packets for collecting DNA samples from the child consisting of an oral swab, hair, and fingernail clippings. These samples can be taken in the privacy of one’s own home and ALL materials are given to the parents.
Over 1,000,000 children are reported missing each year in the United States. INCHIP helps concerned parents to promote the safety of their children by providing a fast, simple packet of information to help authorities identify and recover lost, missing or exploited children.
The Waynedale Chapter of the Eastern Star, as well as, the Job’s Daughters and the DeMolay will also be in attendance. These are Masonic organizations that represent women, young women (ages 10 – 21), and young men (ages 12 – 21), respectively.
The Open House and INCHIP program will be conducted on August 27 from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm at the Lodge located at 7039 Elzey Street, across from the Waynedale Park.
Waynedale’s Community Picnic in the Park (corner of Elzey and Koon Streets) will be held from 10am to 2:30pm on Saturday, August 27. Everyone is invited. There will be games for young and old. Adult bingo, art with Doni, children’s games, a magician, moonwalk, face painting, tattoos, and clowns. And plenty of food. The event is free.
