BAER FIELD BUZ
1/2 Mile Modifieds – The points race tightened up as Jeremy Wallen found victory lane for the 5th time in the 2005 season. Wallen started on the outside of the front row and was never headed after a brief battle with Zach Brubaker, Wallen is now only 39 points behind 3rd place finisher Joe Wormcastle. Joe Wormcastle, Dean Cook, Mel Klein and Pete Wormcastle had the best race of the night battling for 3rd until Pete Wormcastle looped the car getting off turn 4.

Late Models – Fast Eddie Spangler took home his first A-Main win of the season, Spangler was hounded by defending series champ Johnny Gatton Jr. and current point leader Al Cook Jr. for the better part of the 25 lap affair. During lap 3 a wreck caused a 7 car pile up in turn 1 sending 6 cars to the pits with damage including 2nd place in the point Derreck
Hoffman. Cook continues to dominate the Late Model point standings over Hoffman and Spangler.

Street Stocks – Bobby Berring Jr. took home the bacon for the 7th time this season, early front runner and current point leader Jonathan Martin fought Berring for the better part of 15 laps before Berring finally found his way around. 3rd place in points Scott Minnick was closing in on the front running duo, but ran out of laps. Martin continues to lead the points by 214 over Minnick and 223 over Berring Jr.

Mini Stocks – New Paris Speedway invaded the Baer Field Speedway as the Ryman boys were showing the locals the quick way around the 3/8ths mile track. Cory Ryman set fast time, won his heat and the A-Main. Ryman fought with Tim Howard for the first 12 laps of the event before the issue was settled. A lap 1 incident sent point leader Keith Woods to the pits with damage, Justin Meriwether closed to within 46 points of Woods in the title chase.
