The Wayne Township Trustee’s office is justly committed to assist those most in need while respecting the benevolence of its tax paying citizens dollars. All too often your government gets carried away with projects, agendas, and missions that totally miss the will and preferences of those very same citizens that it is elected to serve.
The Wayne Township Trustee’s Office is proud of our reputation within this community to always seek and act on the people’s agenda first. We do this by meeting with agencies, churches, ministerial groups, business leaders, neighborhood associations, citizen action groups, and most importantly individual citizens on a one on one basis.
We are keenly aware of the “Township Assistance” Statutes that we operate under. We are also knowledgeable of the problems and conditions of those most in need. Since every individual gets a slightly different view of the conditions and challenges within the community, and our intentions are to serve all, we thought we would ask you to share your observations with us by considering the following questions:
Do you know how to apply for township assistance?
Do you understand your rights as an applicant?
Are you familiar with township programs and eligibility criterion?
Do you know whom to contact regarding specific township issues?
Are you aware of any barriers that keep the township from meeting the needs of the community?
In what areas should the township focus future programs?
Do you have any suggestions on improving township services?
Do you know anyone needing more information on township assistance?
Can the lines of communication between the township and your group or church be improved?
What would you like to see the township accomplish?
We consider ourselves an on demand office that will respond to positive input and suggestions on an almost immediate basis. We are here to meet the needs of the community and its citizens. Try us. If you have a suggestion that will help others and it is within the mission of the Wayne Township Office and is legal within the statutes of Indiana, you will probably see it come to action.
