SCOUTING FOR FOOD DRIVE BEGINS TODAY
All of you great folks in the circulation area of The Waynedale News may not be familiar with a Community issue of great importance. Due to a myriad array of issues the local Associated Churches Food Banks are down to bare shelves. The Boy Scouts of America are trying to help by holding a “Scouting For Food” drive.
The next scheduled collection will culminate on December 18th with a truck from the Associated Churches at the Waynedale United Methodist Church on Saturday morning. Before that date you may be approached by a Boy Scout asking for contributions to help alleviate this shortage. Please be as generous as possible.
Contributions may be made up to and including that date by contacting any individual involved in the Scouting program. Contributions may also be made at Waynedale United Methodist Church. If there are any problems with contributions you may contact the Scout Office at 432-9593.‑ Please feel free to call me at 478-1750 if you have questions or need help with pick up. Canned goods and non-perishables of all types are acceptable.
Please help us jump start this food drive so that no family or person has a reason to be concerned about hunger over the upcoming holiday season. I already know that the Waynedale Community will support this effort.
Thanks in advance for your generosity.
