DELBERT “ROHN” DENNIS, 89
DELBERT “ROHN” DENNIS, 89, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, September 30, 2004, at Covington Manor Nursing Home. Born January 14, 1915, in Roanoke, he was the son of the late Joe and Eliza (Sparrow) Dennis. He retired in 1980 as a Grinder and Inspector for the Scout line at International Harvester, after 33 years of service. He was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church, Past Master of Three Rivers Lodge 733, F&AM and an honorary member of Huntertown Lodge 698 F&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine (Weaver) Dennis of Fort Wayne; nephews, Chuck (Carolyn) Dennis of Ossian, Gerald (Bonnie) Dennis of Markle, Oliver Dennis of Michigan; nieces, Betty (Ray) Ellet of Markle, Dixie Harrell of Coldwater, Michigan, Marjorie Rensenhouse of Brownsville, Texas; brother-in-law, DeLoss (Aldean) Weaver of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Phyliss (Don) Morris of Huntington.
Service was Monday, October 4, at Simpson United Methodist Church; the Rev. Scott Shoaff officiating. Three Rivers Lodge 733 Masonic Service was Sunday, October 3, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road.
Burial at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.
