ALL CITY HONORS CHOIR
On Friday afternoon, November 1, more than 60 students representing all the high schools in Fort Wayne Community Schools will be meeting together to combine their talents in the All City Honors Choir. Mr. Duane Davis, Director of Vocal Music at Grand Rapids Community College, will serve as the guest conductor. He will rehearse the students on Friday afternoon and most of the day Saturday on five pieces that will challenge them musically, as well as, provide a balance of classical and contemporary choral literature.
On Sunday afternoon approximately 600 choral students from FWCS will meet in the Snider High School gymnasium to rehearse with Mr. Davis on four more pieces. This Mass Festival Choir, as well as, the All City Honors Choir, will perform for the public at 4:30 p.m. in the Snider gymnasium, 4600 Fairlawn Pass, Fort Wayne. No admission is charged, but free will donations will be accepted.
Margaret Buttermore, North Side High School, and Jeanette Walsh, Wayne High School, will serve as piano accompanists. Other directors are Susan Nelson, South Side High School; Brenda Butler, Snider High School; Thomas Maupin, Northrop High School; and Brett Adams, Elmhurst High School.
