AND THE WINNER IS…

The fastest go-karts, the largest track and the lowest prices in the area are at Little Turtle Go-Karts, 5214 Decatur Road. Originally, Little Turtle was started by the Schmidt family in the mid-70’s. It combined both a go-kart track and a bowling alley. A fire in the early 1980’s destroyed the bowling alley moving the bowling business to its current location, 6700 Decatur Road/Hwy 27 South now known as Little Turtles Hillcrest Bowl. The go-kart track remains at 5214 Decatur Road.

As a teenager 15 years ago Scott Pressler, owner since 1995 , worked at this track. “The past seven years have brought many obstacles,” states Scott. “Resurrecting a business on the south side of town was quite a challenge, but I knew that I had the experience and a lot of good ideas to succeed.” Some of those new ideas at Little Turtle Go-Karts were the placement of new signs on Decatur Road and South Clinton (Hwy 27). They have also improved go-karting by installing a new guardrail system, grading and excavating the property and bringing in over 200 tons of dirt. “These projects were very exhausting and time consuming, not to mention expensive,” said Scott “but are leading to the overall attractiveness of the track.”

Little Turtle Go-Karts offers a 1/4 mile road course in 5-minute increments. All riders must be 54 inches tall to ride alone. You can also rent the track out for private parties; for the office, birthday parties, church or youth groups, and sports teams.
