Nestled on the southwest side of The Village of Time Corners on West Jefferson Blvd. is a locally family owned “house of fresh custard” – Clancy’s. Clancy’s Frozen Custard offers custard that is made fresh daily as well as a variety of food items ranging from salads to burgers; also made fresh to order, not micro-waved.
“We make our custard fresh every day,” says Irishman Terry Clancy-owner, “using only top o’ the line custard mixes from the state of Wisconsin. That is what sets us apart from the other custard shops around town. And we never freeze our product for a later use.” Clancy’s custard is 90% fat free and contains only natural ingredients. Even the toppings on their shakes and sundaes are real fruit, not processed foods.
During the month of March, Terry Clancy will be preparing honey recipes. Mr. Duane Rekeweg, a beekeeper from Decatur, Indiana will be providing the honey for these recipes (also see Kampfire Kookin’ recipe using honey). Mr. Rekeweg’s honey is rated #1 in the nation. Honey-flavored custard combinations like Hoosier Honey Fudge, Honey Nut Sundae, Honey Berry Shake, Raspberry Honey and Honey Chocolate Shake will all appear on the menu. Sandwiches along with various honey dressings will also be offered during March Honey Month at Clancy’s. Keep checking the menu because each month Clancy modifies and adds new items. On March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day, you can be sure that with a name as Irish as “Clancy’s” you will be served a generous portion o’ the “green”; Irish Cream flavored custard plus Corned Beef sandwiches; Reuben or shaved Corned Beef on Rye just to mention a few.
Kids of all ages, come celebrate ANYDAY at Clancy’s they are serving up a rainbow of flavors! Clancy’s is open Monday through Thursday from 11am-9:30pm, Friday and Saturday 11am-10pm, and on Sunday from 11am-9pm.
