Former Waynedale residents Dale and Marclyn Hilbert of Howe, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a Florida vacation and Caribbean cruise, culminating in a family celebration. He was a District Sales Manager with Morton Salt Company before retiring in 1986 after 38 years. She is a homemaker.

They met on a blind date in 1950 and married in Fort Wayne the next year on November 10th. The couple have four children; Daniel Hilbert, David Hilbert (deceased), Debbie Gherardini and Denna Emenhiser, and nine grandchildren.
