THE VOICE OF THE TOWNSHIP

The beginning of 2003 has an extra special meaning, over and above the beginning of a New Year – it is the beginning of this administration’s second term. Wayne Township would like to wish the outgoing board members success in their future endeavors. Furthermore, I’d like to welcome the newly elected board members to Wayne Township. They are Tamila Kelty, Timothy Burns, and Phil GiaQuinta.

Over the past four years, my administration has accomplished quite a bit. We were able to attain our goals by networking with other community leaders and professionals in the social service field. We also utilized client surveys to help us improve our customer service. However, I would like this term to be marked by the higher involvement of Wayne Township citizens – whether they are receiving assistance or not.

I recognize that people from various walks of life often have different perspectives, and therefore different ideas and solutions to our everyday social issues. I would like to openly invite the public to let my administration know how we, as a township, can better serve you. If you have a question or concern, or an idea of how township government can better serve its citizens, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can call 449-7000 and ask for me (or the Chief Deputy Trustee Alan Stoller). You can send us a letter to 320 E. Superior Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. Or you can e-mail me at trustee@waynetownship.org.

I sincerely believe that in order to better serve the public, government must involve the public. I look forward to our existing community partnerships, as well as developing more! Remember, you can always access our web site for more information about us!
