WAYNEDALE VETERANS IN ACTION
On May 29, 2004 at the David Parrish American Legion Post #296 an all day tribute was given to honor the World War II Veterans. There was a great turnout. A prayer breakfast was from 8am-11am, with social time from 11am-1pm followed by Posting of the Colors. The Memorial Ceremony certificates and pens of the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. were presented to the honorees. The Auxiliary Unit #296 presented Poppy Corsages to the Veterans also. This was followed by a dance from 6pm-9pm with The Justice III Band.
