JEAN SADLER MITCHELL, 78
JEAN SADLER MITCHELL, 78, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, November 19, 2004, at Riverbend Health Care Center. Born September 27, 1926, in Early, Iowa, she was a service representative for Verizon, retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Iowa. “All who knew Jean will remember her love and care of animals. Her constant vigil to keep the bird feeders full, the water fresh – not an easy task in cold Iowa winters – and a warm home for homeless creatures will be her legacy. She will be missed by family, neighbors and nature’s little ones”.
Surviving are her son, John P. (Jane) Sadler of Ely, Minnesota; daughter, Peg J. Sadler of Fort Wayne; son, Glen Mitchell of Silver Springs, Maryland; granddaughter, Jill Sadler of West Hollywood, California; special family friend, Jean McCammant of Fort Wayne; and constant companion, Maggie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sadler, in 1962.
Memorial Mass was Tuesday, November 23, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne. Burial at Glendale Cemetery. Arrangements by Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne.
