ELEVENTH ANNUAL LEIGHANN PALMER GOLF OUTING
The LeighAnn Palmer Golf outing will be a double shotgun 4-person team Florida Scramble this year. The outing is scheduled at Grey Goose Golf Course, Decatur, IN on September 11, 2005.
The proceeds from this event will go toward the scholarship fund and other local charities that benefit children in remembrance of LeighAnn Palmer.
On May 28, 1995, LeighAnn accidentally drowned at 3 1/2 years of age. On Sunday, September 24, 1995 the first LeighAnn Palmer Scholarship Fund Golf Outing was held in her memory.
Three scholarships are for senior cheerleaders (LeighAnn loved cheerleading) at Bishop Luers High School to help pay their tuition for college their freshman year and the other is for an eighth grade girl at Saint Therese to help pay her tuition at Bishop Luers her ninth grade year.
BLHS winners Rachel Johnson, Sally Niezer and Katie Tourney were the recipients for the Bishop Luers Senior Cheerleader Scholarships and Megan Snyder was the Saint Therese scholarship winner.
