MAYOR RICHARD WINS NATIONAL STAR AWARD FROM FIBER-TO-THE-HOME
Fort Wayne Mayor Graham Richard has been selected to receive the 2005 Star Award from the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council for being a leader in broadband technology.
The FTTH Board of Governors presents an annual Star Award to a person, community or company that has gone above and beyond what is expected in the promotion of fiber optics.
“I am pleased that Fort Wayne is being recognized as a technology leader,” said Mayor Richard. “Fiber-to-the-premises technology has endless possibilities. High-speed broadband to homes and businesses will serve as the innovation highway of the future. Fort Wayne will see new jobs and business investments as a result of the new fiber optic broadband services.”
Mayor Richard will accept the award at the FTTH Conference October 4-6 in Las Vegas.
The Fiber-to-the-Home Council is a non-profit organization established in 2001 to educate the public on the opportunities and benefits of fiber to the home solutions.
