LOCAL COUNSELING AGENCY CELEBRATES ITS FIRST YEAR

LifeWorks Counseling & Consulting is pleased to announce the completion of its first year of service to the community in the mental health counseling field. “We are passionate about providing the highest quality professional counseling services in a warm, compassionate environment,” Amy Jo Aldrich, co-owner of LifeWorks, says. “It was crucial to us to build our agency in a way that is honoring to the people we work with.”

Catherine Jantzen, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Amy Jo Aldrich, MS in Marriage and Family Therapy, head the well-qualified LifeWorks team that has a combined 100 plus years of counseling experience. “For me, it’s exciting when people begin to move from “stuck” – whether that’s in a relationship or in their own behavior – to a place of hope and understanding,” Jantzen notes.

Although each of the seven therapists at LifeWorks offers specific areas of expertise; all provide professional, Christian-based counseling services for people of all ages, walks of life and faith backgrounds. LifeWorks Counseling & Consulting is dedicated to meeting clients in a non-judgmental way and helping them find much-needed peace in their lives. The staff at LifeWorks is also available for speaking engagements on a variety of mental health topics.

“I believe individuals, couples and families can experience healing personally and in their relationships. This healing allows them to live more complete and satisfying lives,” says Lon Johnson, counselor at LifeWorks. Regarding her function as a counselor, Margaret Machlan, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, notes, “I see my role as a partner in the healing process; focused on removing the barriers and linking our clients with resources.”

LifeWorks’ main office is conveniently located in the Constitution Hill office park at I69 and Illinois Rd. The agency also has a satellite office in Columbia City, about 20 minutes west of Fort Wayne on US 30. LifeWorks is focused on providing counseling services that are accessible and affordable, especially during these tough economic times. Participating with most major insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid, LifeWorks also offers assisted fee for those without insurance benefits. Dedicated to serving their clients well, LifeWorks has convenient day and evening hours to meet its clients’ diverse needs.

“LifeWorks is a fabulous place to serve,” says Carly Hawks, Office Manager. “This first year has been a time of incredible growth, and I look forward to caring for the mental health needs of our community as part of LifeWorks for many, many years to come.” For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 260-432-0066, or go to the website at www.lifeworks-counseling.org.
