EASTER EGG CELEBRATION
The Wayne Township Trustee’s Office will sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Celebration at Headwaters Park beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 7. Wayne Township Trustee Richard Stevenson will begin the celebration with opening remarks.
This Easter Egg Hunt is open to all children, ages three through twelve, and is especially for those children who are in shelters, homeless or who otherwise might not have the opportunity to celebrate Easter. There is no cost for the event. Between 350 and 500 children are expected to participate.
The Easter Egg Hunt Celebration will include several activities for children in addition to the Easter Egg Hunt. The children can participate in face painting and compete for prizes of new toys. Of course, the Easter Bunny will be present, and children can have their pictures taken with the Bunny. Music will be provided by “Power of Praise,” a band from New Hope Worship Center.
The Wayne Township Easter Egg Hunt is the first major event of the year for Headwaters Park. The event is being planned by the Outreach Division of the Wayne Township Trustee’s Office, with Tameka Crook as event chairperson and Rodney Scott, Supervisor.
