ULTIMATE WELLNESS SOLUTION

For years now I have been searching for the best multivitamin/supplement that we need as a baseline for everyday health, and now, I can finally say, my search is over. The other day I was promoting my practice at a health fair at Frontline Offices and happened to sit in on a lecture by Dr. Joel Wallach. I don’t know if you have ever heard of him but you soon will.

In his lecture, he brought to my attention that the oldest people in the world live in Asia. Dr. Wallach was curious about why they lived so long, so he went to Okinawa, Japan to investigate. After many soil tests and interviews, he couldn’t find anything in particular that made a difference. That was until he asked the women what they did with their pot ash waste from the wood burning ovens. They said that they spread them out in their garden and also used them to mix with the salt. What he found was that the ground where the wood came from was rich in minerals. These minerals were taken up by the plants and then after burnt were replenished back into the soil, etc.
After listening to this, I remembered watching an episode of Planet Earth on The Discovery Channel and there was a part where an elephant was eating mud instead of drinking water. The host explained that the elephant was trying to ingest viable minerals that it needed for survival. I thought to myself that this whole mineral thing makes sense. I asked Dr. Wallach what he recommends besides minerals, and he exclaimed that the body needs the following; 60 minerals, 12 Amino Acids, 16 Vitamins, and 3 essential fatty acids. I want to also add 6 essential “good” bacteria (normal flora) and of coarse the 8 polysaccharides (glyconutrients). This is the basic formula for core wellness and can be taken with 4 products. Two from Youngevity® (Classic and EFA plus), one from Orthomolecular (6 probiotics), and Ambertose® AO (Mannatech).

If I am trying to treat a problem, I first start with a basic blood test including a chem-screen/cbc/wbc/and allergy profile. I then put them on the basic program for 1 month to let the body take in the nutrients. Then I do another blood test to see if anything has changed in a month. Afterwards, I target the areas that are out of balance with additional supplementation if necessary. This, along with a healthy diet and exercise program, has changed many people’s lives. Especially my favorite patient…myself.
