NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLED NEAR I-69 RAMPS
The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that contractors scheduled an install and have activated a new traffic signal on Lower Huntington Road at the southbound I-69 ramps in Allen County, on Thursday, October 13.
During the day Thursday, Oct. 13, drivers saw the southbound I-69 ramp lanes, as well as Lower Huntington Road, restricted as contractor crews installed the signal components. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and pay attention when driving through any active construction zone.
The signal is designed to improve traffic flow from I-69 southbound to Lower Huntington Road, with the goal of improving safety and increasing mobility in the area.
The signal installation is part of a larger I-469/I-69 interchange modification project which added an acceleration lane to the I-469 westbound ramp to I-69 southbound. The $3.1 million project also included the resurface of roughly 5 miles of I-69.
