QUARTER AUCTION RAISES MORE THAN $1,100

Kingston Residence hosted a Quarter Auction at their Assisted Living, 7515 Winchester Road, on Saturday, August 19th. The fundraiser was to benefit Audiences Unlimited, Inc. a non-profit organization that connects seniors with the arts. The event raised more than $1,100 towards this worthy group.

Marketing Director Camille Garrison states, “This was a first time event for us and it won’t be our last. We had so much fun bidding on terrific items that were donated both by Waynedale businesses as well as provided by vendors that attended the event.”

Ten home-based businesses including Mary Kay, LipSense, Scentsy, Thirty-One Gifts, Tastefully Simple, Ivory Lotus Soap Company, Vital Living Essential Oils, Just Jewelry & JJ’s Boutique, Creations by Susan and Premier Jewelry were on hand to showcase their products.

Numbered paddles were $5 each and participants bid between 1 and 4 quarters per prize. A corresponding numbered ball was drawn to determine the winners. There was also a silent auction.

Audiences Unlimited Executive Director Anna Ross shared, “We are so appreciative of Kingston Residence for sponsoring this event on our behalf. The money raised will go toward underwriting music programming for our artists to go into area assisted livings and nursing homes and enrich the lives of residents through music.”
