WINGS ETC., INC. OPENS WAYNEDALE LOCATION
Following on the success of its franchise locations in Huntington, IN and at Maysville Road, Fort Wayne, IN, Wings Etc., Inc., parent company of the Wings Etc. Grill & Pub franchise system, has opened their second corporate store at Bluffton Road in Waynedale.
Franchise locations in Huntington, IN and at Maysville Rd., Fort Wayne, IN opened in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and quickly established loyal fan bases in the Fort Wayne area. The growing demand and popularity of sports bars in Fort Wayne and around the country, coupled with the popularity of their core menu items among Fort Wayne-area residents, led Wings Etc. Inc. to open their first corporate store at Dupont Rd. in 2012. Following closely on the success of this third area location, the Wings Etc. Grill & Pub franchise system opened their fourth location at Bluffton Rd. in Waynedale in December 2013.
According to Robert Hensmann, Exec. VP of Operations for Wings Etc., Inc., “For a long time we’ve known the popularity of sports bars and pub grub is on the rise in this country, and the quality of our brand in particular has been repeatedly validated by our loyal customer base in the South Bend area.” Said Hensmann, “we were extremely gratified by the support of the Fort Wayne community in voting us second place for “Best Wings” in Fort Wayne Newpapers’ 2013 Best of Fort Wayne, and we’re thrilled to be bringing the fun, engaging, great-food-and-atmosphere Wings Etc. experience to the south side of the Fort Wayne metro.”
With this fourth area location, Wings Etc., Inc. seeks to build on the success of their existing Fort Wayne and Huntington locations, and offer their unique brand of sports bar attitude to a wider segment of the Fort Wayne metro population. Owners and operators of the new location believe that as more and more Fort Wayne residents are introduced to their fresh-never-frozen wings, premium burgers and more, enthusiasm for the Wings Etc. brand will continue to grow in the region.
Wings Etc. Grill & Pub is a sports bar concept that gained first notoriety when, in 1994, Founder Jim Weaver’s signature “Jumbo Wings” beat out a host of Buffalo Wing competitors in the South Bend (IN) Tribune’s “Best Wings” annual reader’s poll. It’s a title Wings Etc. has won for 19 consecutive years, and the chain’s popularity with South Bend sports fans—and those graduating from its famed local university—has propelled Weaver’s concept from a single Mishawaka location into a multiregional franchise company operating 24 pubs in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois and now in North Carolina.
