STUTZMAN WELCOMES HOOSIER VETERANS TO WASHINGTON
On Tuesday, October 4th Congressman Marlin Stutzman (IN-03) welcomed nearly eighty Hoosier veterans of World War II and the Korean War to the nation’s capital.
“It is always an incredible honor to meet these heroes,” said Stutzman. “These men and women risked everything for their families, their nation, and their friends. Our gratitude cannot fade. Each of these veterans paid a dear price for the freedoms that we enjoy today.”
Organized by Honor Flight Northeast Indiana, the veterans flew out of Fort Wayne International Airport in the morning, visited the World War II and Korean War memorials, and returned later that evening. For many veterans, this was the first opportunity to see the memorial that was opened in 2004.
Congressman Stutzman represents the 3rd Congressional District of Indiana and serves on the House Committee on Agriculture, the House Committee on the Budget and the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity. Indiana’s 3rd District contains all of DeKalb, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Noble, Steuben, and Whitley counties, as well as parts of Allen and Elkhart counties.
