TOUR PLAN TO REPLACE TOUR PERMITS
Effective March 1, 2011, what are currently known as local and national tour permits will be superseded by what will be called the tour plan. *The online tour permit system will be suspended. Here is the definition of the tour plan in the Language of Scouting: “Units complete this form when planning for local, national, or international adventure. The plan helps ensure the unit is properly prepared, that qualified and trained leadership is in place, and that the right equipment is available for the adventure.”

DONATE TO SCOUTING
(Don’t throw it out; give it to a Scout.)
Boy Scout Troop 344 is expanding in membership, therefore the need for more equipment and supplies arise. If you would like to help the troop but don’t have a lot of money, then check your kitchen, garage, basement, and pantry for items that they can use. Here is a partial list:
Trash bags, charcoal, dish soap, hand sanitizer, aluminum foil, dish towels, dish rags, Brillo pads, spatulas, tongs, serving spoons, knives, forks, spoons, paper plates, paper towels, paper cups (hot & cold), cutting boards, soup kettles, and charcoal starter fluid to name a few. Think what you would need if you went camping.

Troop 344 meets every Tuesday at 7PM at Waynedale United Methodist Church on the corner of Church Street and Old Trail here in Waynedale. They invite you to come visit or come and join. Be a part of Scouting.
