THOUSANDS VOLUNTEERED FOR THE GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP
More than 5,000 community volunteers of all ages, organized by the City of Fort Wayne participated in the City’s 20th annual Great American Cleanup. The citywide spring cleaning occurred in neighborhoods, parks, streets, trails and other outdoor public spaces. The City provided volunteer groups with gloves, garbage bags and t-shirts on Saturday morning, May 15, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Volunteers were invited to a post-cleanup party at Headwaters Park East following the cleanup.
Nearing the intersection of Airport Expressway and Winchester Road a portion of The Great American Cleanup Crew was found and included: Susan Emmons, Jade Lehman, Paul Fahlsing, Mike Tellas, and Josh Cason.
