LOCAL STUDENTS COMPETE AT NATIONAL COMPETITION
The Future Business Leaders of America held their annual State Leadership Conference and competition on March 14, 2009. Bishop Luers High School is proud to announce that the following members placed in the top ten in competition and may be eligible to compete at the National Leadership Conference being held in Anaheim, California this summer:
·Jeff Teeters, Junior: 6th in Business Calculations
·Shelia Hite, Senior: 4th in Business Law & 5th in Public Speaking 2
·Bridgette Dooley, Junior: 4th in Cyber Security
·Molly Goodwin, Freshman: 6th in FBLA Principles and, & Introduction to Technology Concepts, 5th place in Introduction to Parliamentary Procedures
·Tyler Post, Freshman: 4th in Introduction to Technology Concepts & 6th place in Word Processing 1
·Bill McManus, Sophomore: 6th place in Public Speaking 2
The following members placed high enough to automatically qualify for national competition:
Tim Stein, Junior: 3rd place in Personal Finance
Emily Hayes, Sophomore: 2nd in Public Speaking
Stephanie Wyatt, Junior: 2nd in Business Law
Isaac Larson, Senior: 1st place in Computer Problem Solving, 1st place in Networking Concepts, and 5th place in Marketing
