On Friday, December 5, 2008, Mayor Tom Henry visited St. Therese School as a Royal Reader. The students all bowed to the Royal Reader as he entered the classroom walking down a red carpet with a processional tune in the background. The mayor read Merry Christmas Curious George to the students. He also brought along a Curious George stuffed animal to donate to the classroom. As he was reading the story, it was being taped and will be used with the book that was donated as part of the listening library. After the story, the students were all treated to candy canes from the mayor.
