KEEP FORT WAYNE BEAUTIFUL PARTICIPATE IN THE GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP MAY 17

The City of Fort Wayne is registering groups now through April 11 for the annual Great American Cleanup scheduled for May 17.

Volunteers of all ages will focus on cleaning up litter and debris from the City’s parks, roadways, trails and riverbanks. The City will provide groups with garbage bags, gloves, t-shirts and flower seeds.

“I would love to have 3,000 people participate in this fun and rewarding event,” said Mayor Tom Henry. “It’s a perfect opportunity to gather family, friends, co-workers, members of your neighborhood association, your faith-based organization, school or any other group to help out in a small way that makes a big difference to our community.”

A post-cleanup party with food, music and raffle prizes will be 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 17 at Freimann Square.

Registration forms are available online at the City’s website at www.cityoffortwayne.org or by calling the City Solid Waste office at 427-1345. Registration forms are due April 11.
