THE LUTHERAN FOUNDATION WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS
The Lutheran Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors. The Board also announced its Officers for 2008.
Nan Nidlinger is a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church-Friedheim in Decatur, Indiana. She currently serves as Clerk of Adams County Circuit Court and as Secretary/Treasurer of Nidlinger Farms.
Carrie Gutman is an attorney with Hawk, Haynie, Kammeyer & Chickedantz in Fort Wayne. She is a graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School and currently serves on the school’s Board of Directors. Carrie is a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and is active on its Board of Elementary Education.
For 2008, Officers of the Board of Directors are: Mark A. Franke, Chairman; Jim Dowling, Vice Chairman; Ralph F. Thiele, Secretary; Ron Rohrbacher, Treasurer.
“As we take our mission into 2008, we are excited by the strength of our leadership,” said Executive Director, Marcia Haaff. “Nan and Carrie bring different perspectives to our Board, and both have the highest level of commitment to furthering the important work of The Lutheran Foundation.”
Since its inception in 1995 through December 2007, The Lutheran Foundation has awarded more than $93 million through its grantmaking activities. The Lutheran Foundation is a Christ-centered ministry of the member Lutheran congregations in northeastern Indiana dedicated to demonstrating the compassion of Christ by promoting, improving and enhancing the quality of life for individuals, families, congregations and communities.
