MAYOR-ELECT SETS NEW SIGHTS
Mayor-elect Welcomes Applicants for Future City Employment Opportunities
Moving swiftly to ensure a seamless change in city leadership, Mayor-elect Tom Henry recently announced the selection of Benjamin Eisbart to guide the transition process. Henry also issued an invitation to those interested in employment opportunities within the new administration and detailed submission procedures.
“I am grateful to Ben Eisbart for joining me in preparing for the new administration and in helping to shape it,” stated Henry. “Ben’s wealth of public sector, professional and educational experience is exceptional. His local perspective, wise counsel and dedication to this community will be enormous assets to this process. My goal is to move decisively, but thoughtfully to ensure that the positive momentum within the community continues to build even as the transition takes place.”
A longtime community activist, Eisbart is currently Vice President of Administration for OmniSource Corporation. He is a former owner of an executive search consulting firm, The Eisbart Group, and has a Master of Science degree in guidance and counseling from Alfred University.
Eisbart has been a key part of Fort Wayne’s civic life in elected and appointed positions for over 30 years. He was elected to two terms on the Fort Wayne City Council and has also served on the Fort Wayne Community Schools Board, Fort Wayne Plan Commission, Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission, Metropolitan Human Relations Commission, Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor Advisory Council, Fort Wayne/Allen County Convention and Tourism Authority, Allen County Economic Opportunity Council and Urban Enterprise Association Board, among many other governmental and community boards and commissions.
Henry anticipates making further appointments to the Henry for Mayor Transition Committee over the next few weeks.
