O.H. “SONNY” TALBOTT, 69
O.H. “SONNY” TALBOTT, 69, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, in Redding, California. A Fort Wayne resident, he served for over 32 years as a police officer where he was regarded as “The Waynedale Marshall”. He retired in 1999 and though he wintered in California, Waynedale was where he always called home. He was an Air Force veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine.
He is survived by daughter, Debbie (Mark) Miller of Cleveland, Ohio; son, Robert of Redding, California; sisters, Polly (Larry) Boroff of Fort Wayne and EJ (Doug) Sebring of New Haven; and grandchildren, Eric and Dana, both of Cleveland, and Ayden of Redding.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl (Freiburger); parents D. Howard and Mary; and brothers Lewis and Ned.
A memorial gathering was Monday, March 14, 2007 at Lester’s Banquet Hall, 1502 Bluffton Road.
