ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST STUDENT NAMED “GAMEPLAN FOR LIFE” WINNER

Farm Bureau Insurance and the Indianapolis Colts have selected Allen County student Lauren Holman (St. John the Baptist) as a state winner in this year’s “Gameplan for Life” competition.

“Gameplan for Life,” sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance in conjunction with the Indianapolis Colts, encourages Hoosier students in grades 6, 7 and 8 to make wise decisions by focusing on their future.‑ Twenty-five state winners were selected from nearly 1200 students representing 73 schools.‑ To enter, students first viewed the “Gameplan for Life” video available from Farm Bureau Insurance.‑ They then used what they learned in the video to develop their own “Gameplan for Life” and expressed that personal “Gameplan” in a creative format for competition participation.‑ Some students submitted essays or videos while others entered musical scores, scrapbooks, Web sites, posters and assorted other communication tools.

State winners will each receive an Indianapolis Colts/Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance prize package, which includes an invitation to a special pre-game tailgate party and four tickets to the Indianapolis Colts – Tennessee Titans game on December 5, 2004.‑ Gameplan winners will be recognized by the Colts at halftime with an award signed by players Reggie Wayne, Montae Reagor, Hunter Smith, Brandon Stokely and Mike Doss.
