ELMHURST MUSICAL OPENS
What: The Apple Tree is the spring musical set to open at Elmhurst High School.
When: 7:30pm on Friday, March 19, and continuing on Saturday evening, March 20, and a final matinee on Sunday, March 21 at 2pm
The show is actually three shows in one, all very light-hearted and fun filled. “The Diary of Adam and Eve” starts out the first part and is based on the story by Mark Twain in the Garden of Eden with the snake and the apple tree. Alan Alda of “Mash” fame on TV played the Adam part in the Broadway show along with Barbara Harris who earned a Best Actress Tony award for her performances. Part two is “The Lady or the Tiger?” and is set in a medieval castle. It is a guessing game where a choice between two gates will determine the fate of the captain and the princess. Part three is “Passionella” which is something like Cinderella in that the lady is transformed from a chimney sweep to a glamorous movie star for a moment.
Tickets are available at the door for $7.00.
