NORBERT H. HEGERFELD, 85
NORBERT H. HEGERFELD, 85, died Thursday, January 15, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born April 23, 1918, in Fort Wayne, he was a mechanic for various local auto dealerships and other businesses and retired from Welder Services. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Travelers Protective Association for over 45 years.
Surviving are sons Lane and Lee Hegerfeld, both of Fort Wayne; a sister Evelyn Platt of Columbia City; brother Richard Hegerfeld of Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Roe, in 1995. Service was 11a.m. Monday, January 19th, at Zion Lutheran Church, 2313 S. Hanna Street, Fort Wayne.
Visitation was from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, January 18th at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road. Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Zion Lutheran Church or American Diabetes Association.
