Grant Saunders named to “Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges” for 2003-2004.
Grant is a Junior in the College of Business and Arts and is majoring in Therapeutic Recreation. He is the son of Sandra Sanders and a graduate of Elmhurst High School.
Grant has been chosen by the faculty at Indiana Institute of Technology for inclusion in “Who’s Who for 2003 – 2004. He is one of 28 students at IIT who have been selected for this honor. These students were nominated based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities, and potential for continued success. To be eligible, students need junior status with at least two semesters completed at IIT and must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better.

USF Offers Family Christmas Programs
Sister M. Elise Kriss, President of USF, invites the community to celebrate the Christmas season on the USF campus with three special events on the evening of Sunday, December 7, 2003.
~Candles lighted around Mirror Lake (visible from Spring Street)
~A living Nativity staged next to the lake
~The Star of Bethlehem 2003 Show at the Schouweiler Planetarium.
The time for the first two activities will be from 5:45pm to 6:30pm – this is Free. Time and date for the Star of Bethlehem 2003 will be Saturday 6, 13, 20 from 4pm to 6pm, Sunday, December 7 at 5pm 6:30pm, and 8pm, Friday, December 12, 19, at 7:30pm, Sunday, December 14, 21 at 5pm and the cost is $4 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and those under 18, $14 maximum per family. Parking for all three events will be available on the east side of campus off Leesburg Road. For further information call 434-7722.
Mark Schieferstein and Joe Van Zandt Exhibit At USF
Rick Cartwright, Chair of the Department of Art and Visual Communication, has announced that selected works of Mark Schieferstein and Joe Van Zandt will be on display at the Rolland Center off Leesburg Road.
Mark Schieferstein USF ’98-’99 Large-scale drawings and paintings are semi-representational and focus on the human figure. Joe Van Zandt works in ceramics and stoneware and will display pottery that is utilitarian in its subject matter. The exhibit opened Saturday, November 1, 2003. WAYNE STUDENTS EXCEL IN AUTO CAD PROGRAM
The Industrial Technology students at Wayne High School, in Mr. James Lambert’s class are busy working on their drawings in Auto-Computer Aided Drawing (CAD). The design process class is using computers to draw in isometric, oblique, sectioning and auxiliary views. All students have 100% attendance or have made up their absences to meet the demands of the class. They work with neatness and accuracy, and are required to utilize proper English and Math skills while completing their projects.
