WALTER T. “SKEET” FREE, 89
Walter T. “Skeet” Free, 89, died Friday, July 11, 2003 at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Jay County, Indiana, he was a buyer for K-Mart Distribution for 25 years. He retired in 1976. He was a WWII Army veteran and a 52-year member of American Legion Post #47. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Free, Fort Wayne; brother Richard Free, Dunkirk, Indiana; niece Rose Marie Monroe, Dunkirk, Indiana; nephews Richard A. Free, Geneva, Indiana; and Bob Ford, Dunkirk, Indiana.
Services were held Monday, July 14, 2003 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with above Military Graveside Honor’s by American Legion Post #47 and burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to donor’s choice.
