SMOKE ON THE WIND
MORNING BLESSINGS
When you awake in the morning, before putting coffee, toast, or anything into your body, get a tall glass of water. Go outside, face the East, and say:
“I’m open and receptive to see and accept my illumination with you, God. I will look on the bright side of life for the many blessings that surround me, the beauty of spring flowers, songbirds, and as I stand here in the East, I lift up this water for your blessing. And as I drink some, let me feel the communion of all the ancestors’ love and light, and as I pour the remaining water in the center of the circle where I stand, may it be a blessing for our Earth Mother and all her inhabitants.”
In the next Smoke on the Wind, we will go to the South direction in life’s circle.
