MIZPAH SHRINERS AND SCOTTISH-RITE TO SPONSOR SAINT PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

Mizpah Shriners and The Scottish-Rite will once again host a Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. This will be co-sponsored again this year by WLDE 101.7 FM & Miller Lite. The parade will begin at 4pm Sunday March 17, 2002 on the corners of Wayne & Fairfield Avenue, East to Harrison Street, North to Berry Street, and West on Berry to Fairfield Avenue following the Green Line in the center of all the streets on the parade route.

The parade is FREE and everyone is invited to come and parade with us. This is one parade that the spectators are indeed part of the parade. You may come dressed as an Irishman if you like. Just plan on having fun and enjoying the day. Following the parade there will be an Irish Stew meal and dance at the Scottish-Rite as a Fund Raiser for the Scottish-Rite Learning Center for Children and The Shriner’s Hospitals for Children Transportation Fund.

All Moneys over expenses will be split 50/50 between both charities. The cost of the dinner/dance is $25 per couple and the dance only is $15 per couple. Tickets are on sale now at the Scottish-Rite box office and the Mizpah Shrine office. Both offices are in the 400 block of West Berry Street. Scottish-Rite phone number is 260-423-2593 and the Mizpah Shrine phone number is 260-426-4543. The Junk Yard Band will be playing from 6pm to 9pm. Radio Station WLDE 101.7 FM will be giving away several tickets to the Dance and also to the Dinner & Dance to it’s many listeners. The Shrine hopes to have several of its parade units in the parade weather permitting.
