THAT’S THE WAY I SAW IT

Yogi Berra, ” Philosopher.”

Yogi Berra was a very good New York Yankee baseball player that fit well into Casey Stengel’s style of managing.

He was a good philosopher although reporters liked to make fun of his bits of wisdom after he was quoted as saying; “I didn’t really say those things I said.”

To understand Yogi’s philosophy on life, one really needed to study it. One of his best is an inspiration to people rather in business or in life itself, it’s good to know, “It’s not over till it’s over.”

Talking about his wife, he said, “We have a good time together, even when we’re not together.” He was just saying that when he’s wasn’t with his wife he still had good thoughts about her.

Another time he said, “Why buy good luggage? You only use it when you travel.” He was telling us to use a lot of thought on expensive purchases.

“Slump? I ain’t in no slump, I just ain’t hitting.” Yogi was telling us that other people shouldn’t diagnose your ailments.

When he said, “Public speaking is one of the best things I hate.” He’s just telling us, don’t try to say you’re good at something when you’re not.

You are now able to understand his logic so try these three quotes, (1) “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.” (2) Don’t get me right, I’m just asking,” and (3) ” If I didn’t wake up, I’d still be sleeping.”

After understanding what I’ve said, I hope you will admit Yogi was one of the 20th century’s greatest philosophers. You see folks, that’s the way I saw it.
