KLENDER JOINS SPRINGER FIRM

Newly admitted attorney Brent L. Klender has joined the offices of James E. Springer as an associate. Brent spent his early childhood with his mother Sandra (Keller) Klender on Bradbury Avenue and later on Indianapolis Road. He attended grade school at Haley Elementary, Blackhawk Middle, and graduated from Snider High School. Then he attended IPFW, earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, and graduated from Ohio Northern University with a Juris Doctorate on May 13,, 2001.

Before entering into law, Brent gained significant medical experience as a respiratory therapist working in various hospitals and health care facilities throughout the area. Brent spent the majority of his practical experience with the Lutheran Health Network. In addition to working as a respiratory therapist for over eleven years, Brent also served as an adjunct faculty member for Ivy Tech State College in the Respiratory Therapy Program. Through this endeavor he had the opportunity to teach respiratory therapy students at St. Joseph and Parkview Hospitals. Just prior to joining the offices of James E. Springer, P.C., Brent served as the Respiratory Department Manager for Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Wayne. On the wake of starting his law practice, Brent has stepped down from managerial responsibilities, but will remain on staff as a part-time therapist.

Brent is married to Tina (Quackenbush) Klender of Ossian, Indiana and they have four children and one expected. While Brent was completing law school, they maintained their residence in Ossian. Following Brent’s graduation the entire family moved back to Fort Wayne. Tina is employed locally at the new Dupont Hospital as a respiratory therapist as well. The newest addition to the Klender family is due to arrive in April of 2002.

Brent’s mother, Sandra (Keller) Klender, the daughter of Ruth Keller, and the late Leo Keller of Indianapolis Road, have been long-time residents of the Waynedale area. Brent has fond memories of his childhood in Waynedale. Some of his most memorable times were visiting the American Legion Post #241, dining at the Waynewood Inn, and the countless days spent at his grandparent’s home near the airport.

Brent has currently applied for membership with the Indiana State and Allen County Bar Associations and the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. He also currently maintains his credentials with the National Board for Respiratory Care, and his respiratory practitioner’s license with the Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
