HOMESCHOOLING ANXIETY – Homeschooling Is Where The Heart Is!

Okay. I’m going to be honest. I’m not quite sure how to begin this article. It’s not that I’m drawing a blank. I’ve actually thought of several different witty, sarcastic, pleasant, and shocking openers. Oh, the anxiety…literally …this month’s welcome back to the homeschool universe article is about homeschooling anxiety.

If you are reading this and do NOT homeschool and think you have a clue as to what I’m going to write about – think again. If you are reading this and DO homeschool and think you have a clue as to what I’m going to write about – think again.

My homeschooling anxiety exists thanks to all the classes offered at homeschool co-ops, get togethers planned by other homeschooling moms, the great curriculum, field trips, and library activities geared towards homeschoolers. Also, there is a ton of activities and materials not aimed at homeschoolers that are absolutely remarkable teaching tools.

Decisions, decisions, decisions…how do I pick the best option when my choices are the good, the good, and the good. It’s like trying to decide which one of Thorin’s nephews is the most handsome Fili (my daughters vote) or Kili (my vote). Who’s the most forceFULL Jedi, in the Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi? Chocolate chip cookie dough or karamel sutra…thanks Ben & Jerry…seriously thanks!

Are you seeing the pattern here? When the choices are awesome the anxiety associated with making said choices is well worth it. Because in the end my daughter and I will both learn a lesson from whichever field trip we take, health and safety curriculum we use and library activity we partake of.

So take a deep breath make a choice and make that choice a homeschooling adventure.

Until next month,

God bless you and your little or not so little ones!
