VALENTINE’S DAY FAVORITES

After all of this terrible cold weather along with record amounts of snow, Fort Wayne is ready for a touch of spring. Colorful, fresh-cut flowers are going to be a very welcome sight and just in time for Valentine’s Day. Mixed flower arrangements are the most colorful however, truth-be-told, every woman wants roses…really. Nothing will get you more “Brownie Points” than a dozen roses. Your local florists’ all deliver anywhere in Allen County and through special services such as Teleflora and FTD, they can deliver anywhere in the world.

Ordering flowers for Valentine’s Day should be done early, as the amount of flowers to be delivered over the Thursday/Friday holiday will be tremendous. It is never too late to try, just in case you forgot, and of course any of your local florists’ will have a good selection on hand for the “drop-in” customer. Dinner out along with a card, or a trip to Hawaii are all welcome gifts for the one you love. Just do not…do something.

Many add-on gifts are also appreciated such as a stuffed animal or a box of candy. I have seen some gentlemen send flowers to their wife and add-on the other item(s) for the kids…very thoughtful. If you are sending flowers to their place of employment, your order really needs to be placed by 11:00 AM the day before to ensure delivery before they go home. In fact, why not have the delivery sent the day before…if something goes wrong, there’s another day to get it right.
